Getting to Maya Tulum
Book your flight to Cancun and we will pick you up to take you to the gorgeous shores of the Caribbean. It is suggested you arrive early to mid afternoon on Saturday, Nov 10, so you can unwind with some beach time, a restorative practice, and a delicious meal.
What kind of yoga do you practice? Will I fit in as a beginner? Are all classes mandatory?
We are both steeped and studied in various disciplines and teach flow classes that are sequenced intelligently. In addition to leading morning practices, Felipe will take into the Yin flow practice and get us deeper into our hearts with mantra and Kirtan. Mary Dana will fuse sacred geometry, intelligent theory, and seamless sequencing to give you an asana experience that aligns your form, flows magically, and ups your function in life.
While we do serious work, there is levity and joy throughout. Some of the classes will explore more advanced shapes, but we will accommodate all levels. All classes are not mandatory, and if you feel you might take part in just a few, that is fine!
I am gluten free and my friend is allergic to nuts, will I have anything to eat?
We will work with Maya Tulum to acommodate any dietary needs/restrictions. They have a wonderful kitchen and stellar staff that will be able to make sure you have plenty of yumminess!
I would love to come, but I can only come for 3 nights. Is this possible?
Yes, we will work with Maya Tulum to pro-rate your room.
Additionally if you want to stay longer or arrive earlier, we will connect you to Maya Tulum to make arrangements.
There is limited wifi at Maya Tulum, although it is available in the dinning area and lobby, free of charge. We encourage you to unplug on this trip and will be exploring no phone dinners, we we can connect to our food and each other more.
Bringing in outside alcohol is prohibited. There is a full bar at Maya Tulum.
What should I pack?
Once you sign up we will send you a welcome packet with what you need. You'll probably only need a carry on, less is more!
What is the weather like?
November is a magical time in Tulum. It's the perfect time after Hurricane season and before the season gets super hot and crowded. Last year, there was a bit of rain on one day, and the year before none.
What other things besides yoga and eating will we be doing?
There will be optional excursions, rituals and treatments available directly from the facility. Once we gather on the 10th we will go over all and make decisions on what you would like to partake in.
